A zine, postcards, and pins
When my sister and I started to brainstorm for Unhinged Vintage (our secondhand clothing shop) we didn’t want to look like another thrift shop or boutique. There are thousands on Instagram, Pinterest, Depop, Poshmark.
We’re a couple of weird aunties in our late 30s and early 40s and we wanted to attract an audience who wears what makes them happy and doesn’t worry about what others think. We’re not shopping for trends. We believe animal print is a neutral and your clothes don’t have to match or fit as long as they make you feel good.
In a nod to ‘90s riot grrls and all the punk bands I’ve collected flyers and merch from, we designed pins and a mini zine to promote the shop offline. (Patches are next on our list :)
