5 Types of Instagram posts

Instagram doesn’t have to be as difficult as we make it. Here’s my formula for showing up consistently:

➜ Plan once/month and create content for the week every Monday

➜ Post every other day in my feed + daily in stories

➜ Cover these 5 post types - you can literally rotate through them

1. Tips + how to

Give your audience something to try, a step-by-step process, or a list of suggestions. These posts are perfect for asking your audience to save and share, and gives them a taste of your skills.

2. Testimonials / results

Sharing wins from clients and customers helps your audience see a range of results and a range of situations, which makes it feel possible for them too.

3. Your experience + expertise

How did you learn what you know? How do you apply it to your day to day life? WHY is your work important to you?


4. Pitches for products + freebies

If you're not pitching your products every week, then this one needs to be at the top of your list. Stop crossing your fingers that people will go hunting for your products - you need to show up and sell.

5. Quotes / Infographics

50% of Instagram users spend time on the explore page, so if you can get your content to show up there you can grow your audience quickly.
