6 Marketing Essentials your small business needs

Here are the six marketing essentials you ACTUALLY need to grow your business online.

Facebook and squeeze pages and opt-ins and video. There are a lot of options to market your business and I know the FOMO is strong with us solopreneurs since we’re watching what everyone else is doing 24/7.

So what do you actually need to have set up for your marketing to be effective?

✔ Brand Guidelines:  Who are you speaking to and what do you help them do? Getting specific about the who, what, and why of your brand helps you to stay on track when you’re creating products + content.

✔  Website: Doesn’t have to be fancy, but it’s helpful for your audience to have one place to find everything related to what you do. Google your business and see what comes up first - search engines will prioritize websites and if yours isn’t there you’re missing out.

✔  Social platform: This is where you’ll attract and warm up new leads. My choices are Instagram + my podcast, but this could be LinkedIn, YouTube, or even Reddit. Figure out where you audience hangs out and then show up and spend time getting to know them.

✔  Email list: While social media is great for attracting new peeps into your space, it’s not always great for converting followers into clients and customers. Move them onto your email list so you can pop into their inbox where you’ll have their undivided attention.

✔  Systems: So you’re not losing your entire week to 5 minute tasks. Systems make all your marketing essentials work together and help save you time.

✔  Community: 1. The community that you build around your brand filled with your most enthusiastic clients + customers. 2. A community that you’re part of so you don’t have to make every decision on your own. Support is SO IMPORTANT when growing your biz.
