How to be consistent with what works
What are the things you do every day that help to grow your business? Attract your ideal customers + clients, grow your authority, build a connection, makes sales.
What are the things you do every week?
Every month?
After 7 years in business, I’ve learned it’s less about having all the right/trending strategies and more about being consistent with what works.
But this can be really difficult.
You know that doing Instagram stories helps your audience get to know you and turns viewers into new clients. But you don’t like doing video, most days you’re in sweats and no makeup which makes it hard to want to do video which makes it can be hard to be consistent.
To fix this - try habit stacking.
Connecting a habit you don’t love, with something you already do.
Twyla Tharp talks about her commitment to going to the gym every morning. But that she doesn’t focus on being at the gym or what she’s going to do once she gets there. She focused on getting in the car. If she’s in the car then she’ll be on her way with no excuses to not workout. And she’s never too tired, too sore to just get in the car.
I’ve been doing the same thing with my morning breathwork + meditation. I’ve attached it to a habit I’ve been doing for years - putting on the kettle for tea. I know it takes a few minutes to warm up. Instead of scrolling, I do my breathing. And breathwork actually led me into meditation.
And to get myself doing more IGTV - I’ve been recording them on thursdays in between coaching sessions when I’m already presentable and in the mood to talk.
What habits do you need to get better at and what could you stack them with?
