Started my freelance business NINE years ago!

NINE YEARS! I will never tire of this memory popping up in my Facebook feed because it reminds me of the lesson that applies to everything I do - you won’t really know if it will work until you try.

And that’s all I’ve been doing. Month after month, year after year. Trying and trying and trying again.Some things work, some things don’t. But to stay in business you just have to do one thing...KEEP GOING.

That’s it! That’s the big crazy strategy. Just keep going.

When I drove away from the TV station that day I had zero expectations for how long my business would last. I just knew it was time to give it a shot. And holy shit did betting on myself pay off!

I know some of you were there when I made that leap and some of you have shown up along the way. Without you hanging out with me, sharing, commenting, joining my programs, and buying my courses there would be no business, so THANK YOU. Every interaction makes this journey a little sweeter and more rewarding and I appreciate the hell out of ALL OF YOU!

I’ve got a podcast episode coming next week with more lessons I’ve learned, but for now I’m gonna do what I did that Friday afternoon. Smile until my face hurts, revel in the freedom, and buy myself some cupcakes! Cheers to nine more years!!
